Thanking God

ברוך אתה ה', אלקינו מלך העולם, שלא חיסר בעולמו כלום, וברא בו בריות טובות ואילנות טובות ונאות , כדי להנות בהן בני אדם

Yesterday I went out and said 'birkat ha-ilanot' right across the street from my home. The blessing is made when you see two fruit trees (can be two of the same but two different ones are better) in blossom after Rosh Hodesh Nissan (the first day of Nissan - the month that marks the beginning of spring).

The blessing reads:

Bless you hashem, king of the universe, who left nothing lacking in the world,
and created good creations and good and beautiful trees for mankind to enjoy.
Such an eloquent thought.
Take a few minutes out of your hectic day to appreciate the wonders of creation.

The tree on the left is an avocado and on the right is a date palm.
